Rules of the Game - Be a Deepfake Investigator

Throughout the game, participants become investigators, whose aim is to filter out speech generated by deepfake techniques and distinguish between real human speech and synthetized speech.

• The player will listen to 10 speech samples (max 10 seconds) in a row.
• Players can listen to a sample up to 3 times and then have to decide whether they heard real or deepfake-generated speech.
• If the decision is correct, the player scores 3, 2 or 1 point depending on whether they listened to the sample once, twice or three times. A wrong decision scores 0 points. The player’s score is the sum of his points for 10 samples, plus 10 points if he scores better than CARIN Deepfake Guard.
• The winner of the competition is who accumulates the most points during the expo.

The prize drawing will be held at 13:30 on November 30, 2023 at our booth CC-N40.

If the winner is unable to attend the drawing at the specific time no alternative provisions will be made. No cash alternative to any of the prizes shall be available. There is no charge to enter. Entries must be submitted personally and entries made by third parties or agents shall be invalid. TC&C respects all entrants’ privacy and the use and protection of the personal information (including any personal information provided by the entrants). TC&C reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the drawing at any time and for whatever reason.
